Ionic Technologies Announces $3 Million Expansion; Adding Ten New Positions

Ionic Technologies recently announced that it has selected Greenville County as the location for a three million dollar expansion at its present location in Greenville. Ionic Technologies will create 10 additional jobs, and will make a $3 million capital investment.

Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Ionic Technologies was initially formed seven years ago as a preferred surface engineering company. Ionic Technologies provides a variety of services for the machining industry. These include ion nitriding, PVD coating, cryogenics, as well as vacuum hardening and tempering. Typical applications include automotive tooling, plastic injection molds, forging dies, gears, shafts, cams, and other wear parts.

"We would like to thank the Greenville Area Development Corporation, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, and the City of Greenville for assisting us in Greenville," said Ray Monahan, President of IonicTechnologies. "We look forward to continuing our growth in Greenville."

Ionic Technologies was a competitive search in many different communities. Greenville was the final choice of Ionic Technologies due to its favorable business climate, its location, and the work done by the GADC, City of Greenville, and the S.C. Department of Commerce.

"The spirit of cooperation between Greenville County, the City of Greenville, and the GADC set the area apart from all others that Ionic Technologies was considering," said S.C. Secretary of Commerce Bob Faith. "These groups worked together to show company leaders how expanding in the community could bolster Ionic Technologies' bottom line."

"Ionic Technologies is a fine example of the City of Greenville's high-tech economy. They utilize a technology driven process to serve their customers. We are excited to see them expand in Greenville," said Knox White, Mayor of the City of Greenville.
