Sunday Library Hours Move to West and North Asheville Libraries

Beginning Sunday, September 7 the North Asheville Library and the West Asheville Library will be open Sunday afternoons from 2-5pm.

In previous years, Pack Memorial Library in downtown Asheville has offered Sunday hours for the library system. In an effort to save on heating costs and prepare for the Pack Library building renovation, Pack Library will not be open on Sundays.

The North Asheville Library is located at 1030 Merrimon Avenue right beside Beaver Lake, and the West Asheville Library is located at 942 Haywood Road between the West Asheville Police Station and West Asheville Baptist Church.

Please call 250-4700 if you have any questions.

For more than 125 years the public library has been an integral part of community life. The Library offers the traditional public library menu of services, including lending books, tapes, videos and other materials, providing reference and reader's advisory services, and programming for both children and adults. Services include such standards as answering reference questions, both in person and over the phone, providing books, cassettes, DVDs and videotapes, as well as being a center for free public programs to enlighten and delight, for both children and adults.
