Asheville Community Theatre welcomes comic Jon Reep on Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00 pm, winner of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and known to millions as the redheaded hillbilly in the Dodge Ram commercials who leans out of a beat-up car and utters the now famous line: "That thing gotta Hemi?" Jon Reep’s show is supersonic energy filled with non-stop characters, super clever writing, and, of course, the one talent that separates him from all other comedians in the world: he’s the best redneck dancer since Elvis. Tickets may be purchased online at www.ashevilletheatre.org, over the phone at 828-254-1320 or in person at the Asheville Community Theatre Box Office at 35 E. Walnut in downtown Asheville. All tickets for Jon Reep are $25.
Jon Reep has appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," and the half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep” as well as TBS's "Pit Stop Comedy," NBC's "Late Friday," and the ABC Sitcom "Rodney" as Officer Gerald Bob, the dim-witted cop. He shot to fame after appearing in Dodge's popular ad campaign as the "Hemi guy.” He’s one of the hardest working comics in America, selling out clubs and getting standing ovations at college after college across the country. He played Raymus in this summer’s cult-comedy, "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.” Jon Reep is presented by On Deck Circle Events, an international entertainment and event management firm based out of Charlotte, NC. A full schedule of upcoming shows at Asheville Community Theatre is posted at www.ashevilletheatre.org. (Images provided by Asheville Community Theatre.)
