Interactive Web-based Map of French Broad River Watershed Available on RiverLink's Website


Have you ever wondered how long the French Broad River is; what hazardous wastes may exist in the river or stream near you; what waterfront parks and nature centers are in the area and how to get to them; or what the water quality is like in the stream behind your home? These are just some of the exciting features of RiverLink�s web-based map of the French Broad River Watershed!

The website is an excellent resource for our citizens to not only learn about the watershed, it�s history, and the impacts facing it, but also for recreation fanatics, who want to learn more about the river. Teachers can use the website for watershed learning and mapping lessons as an introduction to basic GIS concepts. Planners and developers can use the mapping site in numerous ways.
