New Exhibit to Feature Works by UNC Asheville Studio Art Faculty on August 26 - September 16

Works by 11 UNC Asheville Art Department faculty members will be featured in a wide-ranging exhibition Aug. 26-Sept. 16 at UNC Asheville's S. Tucker Cooke Gallery. The show kicks off the gallery's 2011-2012 season. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, in the gallery.

Participating studio art faculty are Tamie Beldue, Virginia Derryberry, Robert Dunning, Mark Koven, Scott Lowrey, Brent Skidmore, Carrie Tomberlin, Eric Tomberlin, Robert Tynes, Matt West and Megan Wolfe. Works in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media, multi-media installation, and ceramics will be on view.

Located on the first floor of Owen Hall, the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call UNC Asheville�s Art Department at 828/251-6559, or visit art.unca.edu.
