There are numerous mountain streams wating to take you for an exciting ride. You can chose your diffictulty level and cruise on either, a slow and gentle stream, or, race down some challenging rapids. Guided expeditions are available for beginners and those unfamiliar with the area, and local outfitters are ready to fit you with gear that is appropriate for your age and skill level.

Mountain Adventure Guides
The French Broad River is the closest whitewater rafting to Asheville, NC. This gorgeous river, in the heart of Pisgah National Forest, will delight even the most seasoned rafter. Our French Broad outpost is 30 minuets from Asheville. The Nolichucky River flows through the deepest gorge in the east and offers the classic whitewater rafting experience. Our Nolichucky River Outpost is an easy 50 minute drive from Asheville on Interstate 26, near Erwin, TN.
