Vintage French Wine Tasting Banquet at Lex 18

Uncork and enjoy on March 11th. This lavish and dramatic vintage style wine dinner at Lex 18 is an exceptional dining and wine sampling experience.

We begin with a champagne cocktail reception and passed amuse bouche accompanied by the wonderful songs of Edith Piaf performed by Simone Bernhard and pianist.

Guests are then seated for dinner in our romantic dining parlor at a 17ft long banquet table centered under a gold ceiling. Lit by candles, the table lavishly dressed with beautiful floral arrangements and 22 place settings with fine china, silver cutlery and vintage crystal wine and champagne glasses. Wait staff dressed in tails will lay this feast in style of old world dining. Our special French wine connoisseur Jean-Philippe Bourgeois will provide history and information on the wines paired with each course.

During the final course of dessert we will complete the evening with 1920’s and 30’s classic tunes of Cole Porter performed by our guest singer and pianist interspersed with anecdotal facts and short stories on the influences of French wine on America and American music on French jazz.

DRESS
Adding to the experience is the “dress-up” for the event.  We ask our guest to come in cocktail attire or as formal as you would like.  We especially encourage donning on any vintage ensembles or French-style dress of the late 1920’s and 30’s.
