Lukas Nelson and his band P.O.T.R. (Promise of the Real) will perform at The Grey Eagle on August 1st at 9:00 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show.
Lukas Nelson and his band P.O.T.R. are an American rock n roll group based out of California. Lukas first picked up the guitar at age 11 to honor a promise he made to his father, Willie Nelson, and was able to teach himself the craft by playing along to classic Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix songs.
Now at age 24, Lukas is building his following the old fashioned way by touring year round and delivering high energy performances to fans across the country. Lukas Nelson and P.O.T.R. have performed over 400 shows in the past 3 years and have played with the likes of Neil Young, John Fogerty, Bob Weir, B.B. King, and Bob Dylan.
Porch 40 will also perform during the evening. Edgy? Sure. Funky? No doubt. Punkish? Maybe. Porch 40 has grown from a house party to a regionally touring band in the short span of two years. It’s still extremely difficult to describe the gifted 5-piece’s unique sound.
