Sponsored by Buncombe County Recreation Services, this great holiday light show features thousands of lights and fifty animated stationary light displays. You can drive through the circle of Lake Julian Park, transformed into a winter wonderland, with 20% of the proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of Buncombe County.

Winter Light Show at the Arboretum

Where: NC Arboretum – 100 Frederick Law Olmstead Way, Asheville
When: Now through December 31st, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

The NC Arboretum collaborated with Jerry Striplilng, former designer and manager of holiday decorations for Walt Disney World, to create a magical experience for visitors. Christmas at the Biltmore Estate

Where: Biltmore Estate – 1 Lodge Street, Asheville
When: Now through January 7th

George Vanderbilt introduced his new home to family and friends on Christmas Eve in 1895 with a celebration that the Estate continues to this day. Enjoy the spectacle of America’s largest home decorated with dozens of trees, thousands of ornaments, and miles of brightly lit evergreen garland. Carolers will be throughout the halls during the entire celebration, and through December 20th children will also be able to visit Santa Claus.
