Explore intention, breath, posture & form with a combination of Qigong meditations and Tai Chi movements. ☯?
Join Trey Crispen for Tai Chi + Qigong for Energetic Resilience series Thursdays at Primal Studios. 11/8, 11/15 & 1129

This series is offered at the first time beginner level. All movements modify with each individual’s ability. All abilities are welcome.

✨This offering will address the concepts of intention, posture, breath, and form and how they intertwine in real time to create and reveal a large part of the experiences we know as “our life”. By observing some of the 4,000 year old perspectives of Qigong meditations and moving in a martial Tai Chi way, we deepen the mind-body connection so it can serve us where perhaps it has challenged us previously.

We will go over practical Tai Chi and Qigong protocols for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD (episodes and maintenance) with time for notes and specific questions to help develop a personal practice.

✨The practice of Shaolin Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong takes time to learn for those who can focus. Those who take this class will hopefully finish with a new perspective of what a human feels like, and how to truly protect your self from events and from those who either consciously or unconsciously want to drain you energetically. This class will be at times physically challenging and you will sweat if you choose to fully engage with the movements. You may also observe these movements and attend. This perspective may be very enlightening to some and answer some long asked questions for the practitioner.

Instructor Trey Crispin has lived in Asheville for the last 15 years. He started teaching Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong 12 years ago. Presently he is a Certified First level instructor for Shaolin Tai Chi Chuan and holds a third level (out of 4) certification from the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association. His professional teaching practice and sphere has been primarily working with people in recovery from substance addictions and those in Mental Health programs both in treatment and afterward. He has been part of the Volunteer Staff at the Asheville VA since 2003 where he worked with the Substance Addiction ward, the Pain Management groups, and the PTSD support groups.

The core component of Trey’s classes is the awareness of Posture, Breath, and Intention. By refitting the battle ready mind-body connection and awareness to non-combat real life situations, a person can learn to manage then flourish as a highly sensitive human. This practice can take the at times debilitating sensitivity that person has lived with and through and transmute that into a persons Super Power. This essentially is Trey Crispin’s path. He strives to remind people of this knowledge and watch them flourish once they own it and live it.
