Western NC is throwing a welcome home celebration for its returning Tokyo Olympic Whitewater Slalom Team @ 6p on August 3rd at Wedge Brewing at Foundation. Come wearing your Red, White and Blue and prepare to celebrate and cheer for your local Olympians! Enjoy entertainment from Space Granny, who will be bringing the funk, and meet local Olympians that will share about their previous Olympic experience, Autographs from the Tokyo Olympians and mini-flags for the first 150 guest as well as bandanas for kids. All are welcome to attend!
They, our WNC Olympians, have worked tirelessly for years to achieve their Olympic moment. Unfortunately, due to strict COVID health protocols, it has been a lonely Games in a fan-free stadium without friends or family to cheer them or them able to cheer on their fellow teammates from other sports. Athletes must return home immediately following their competition, so help us give our TEAM USA athletes a memorable and special kind of WNC Welcome Home!
