“An Intimate Evening” at the Asheville Masonic Temple is to showcase the natural talent and songwriting abilities of three of Asheville’s most original artists.
Inside the historic Masonic Temple Theatre; Brie Capone, Matt Townsend, and CaroMia will be performing handmade songs against the backdrop of hundred year old handmade scenery with their works reimagined for the ethereal temple space.
Brie Capone is a singer/songwriter and performer from Asheville, NC. With belting female lead vocals and heartfelt, introspective lyricism and unforgettable melodies. Brie headed back home to Asheville, NC in 2016. There she wrote and recorded her solo EP “Orbit”, at Echo Mountain Studios in downtown Asheville released in 2016. She recently released her newest EP “If I Let You In”, which she recently promoted out West with two acoustic tours in CA, NM, AZ, TN.
Matt Townsend is a singer and songwriter based in Asheville, NC. Drawing on influences of Folk, Americana, 60’s rock and pop, Indie rock, and ambient music, and his newest release “The Drifter and the Dream (Part I)” is “folk-rock story telling at it’s finest”. With an eye on the inner and outer worlds and where they meet, “Townsend explores the modern world and all of its rough edges”.
The biography of CaroMia Tiller reads like an adventure novel, action-packed and thrilling. From a very young age this spirit has been making her own rules about what is and is not possible. The undeniable soul-shaking power behind her voice seems to draw on a few lifetimes’ worth of experience. From a world of inspiration CaroMia distills an arresting and immediately recognizable sound: her own signature blend of Americana, Soul and R&B.
