Join us for our April Professional Development and Morning Networking featuring speaker Matt Godfrey, CEO at Alpine Towers International, Inc. and founder/owner Periscope Solutions, LLC in Asheville, NC. Our speaker will discuss his career pivot experience – what led to his decision and what he learned along the way. In conjunction, facilitating a discussion around the fractional employment work model.
Matt’s focus on growth centers around establishing a platform where leadership avoids the pitfall of becoming entangled in daily operations, effectively getting “pulled underwater” losing sight of the horizon. He takes on clients in fractional or full-time capacity to establish this platform or, often times, extends a hand to pull them back to the surface.
For thirteen years, Matt worked for a fortune 500 company, winning many accolades and promotions along the way. For the past 5 years, Matt has been deeply engaged in the entrepreneurial community of Western NC.
Along this path, Matt has collected many cherished “badges of honor,” affirming his capacity toward helping others gain perspective and find the trail markings once again. His passion for learning, solving problems and working with dedicated entrepreneurs is what drives him.
Matt graduated from Appalachian State University with a BSBA/Marketing in 1998, and. earned his MBA from Western Carolina University in 2010. Sales, operations, finance, marketing and leadership comprise the core of his practical experience. He has worked in manufacturing, healthcare, green technology and outdoor recreation industries. Matt is currently an executive board member for the Outdoor Gear Builders of WNC.
A student of the “essentialist” movement, Matt is making strides toward becoming a more essential leader, coach, friend, husband and father. He loves spending time with his wife and two boys (11&14). He is a tinkerer, enjoys being outside skiing, hiking, camping and yes, golfing! His sense of humor can be described in two words – dad jokes. However, when it’s time to be serious, Matt is engaged and ready for action.
