My corn shuck doll class is coming to Asheville! If you can tie a knot, then you can make a corn shuck doll. Join us for a fun afternoon workshop of creating your own art doll out of natural and dyed corn shucks. You will learn all the steps necessary from rolling corn shucks into the head to embellishing the doll with wool, feathers, preserved juniper, and other natural and found materials. I will show you ways to make a Winter Solstice doll, to celebrate the upcoming season, but you also have the choice of making a doll that reflects your essence! Once you have the blank doll compiled, you are only limited by your imagination…

For ages 12 and up
All levels welcome, but moderate hand strength is a plus!
Class fee: $45, ALL materials included
Class is limited! Pre registration required.
To register, call Anne Freels at 865-705-9755 for details. Advance payment can be made by credit card by phone, or through PayPal (I will be traveling from Knoxville, TN, and need to know how many supplies to bring)
