Launched in August, 2017, Asheville-based psyche/punk band Uncle Kurtis is on-the-rise for originality, musicianship, and captivating, highly energetic live performances. Consisting of Graham Barrineau on drums, Riley Darnell on lead vocals, Riley “Raul” McCorvy on guitar, Jackson Lee on keyboards, guitar and vocals, and Quinn Sforza on bass. The growing list of completely original Uncle Kurtis songs blends the bandmates’ interests in punk, jazz, funk, reggae, and countless other influences.
