Dr. Liz Hillard, Wildlands Network’s Senior Wildlife Biologist for the Appalachian Region, will highlight and discuss research findings from two wildlife road crossing projects here in Western North Carolina. Her research includes monitoring reptile road underpasses for wildlife use in Gorges State Park, and evaluating bear, deer, and elk road conflict areas along I-40 in the Pigeon River Gorge.
The event begins at 5:30 at Trailside Brewing Company, 873 Lenox Park Drive, with time to network with like-minded locals before the program begins at 6. Hendersonville Green Drinks is a monthly event for promoting discussion about current environmental issues. You don’t have to drink at Green Drinks, and everyone is welcome. Drinks and a limited food menu will be available. For more information, visit conservingcarolina.org/calendar.
