A discussion of what Culinary herbs grow well in our area and ways to think about how, where and why to plant them in your garden. Michael will talk about more unique herbs you may not have considered.
Note: this will not be discussion about medical herbs or medicinal uses of herbs.
Presenter Bio
Rayburn farm is located in Barnardsville, NC. They have 16 acres with 2 acres in farming production. Michael and Lauren Rayburn have been seed growers for Sow True Seed since 2015. They love growing corn, beans, and okra for seed and working with Sow True to trial seed varieties adapted to Southern Appalachia. When not growing seed, the Rayburns supply Asheville’s breweries, bakers, and ice cream makers with unique and flavorful herbs, spices, and berries.
