This workshop is an in depth exploration of frame drum, riq, and doumbek, for percussionists who have been actively drumming for several years and are familiar with River’s method.
We will focus on intermediate/advanced level technique and cover a broad range of global rhythms including intricate lyrical sequences suitable for performance.

Bring your own drums, lunch, and water. We will take a one-hour lunch break during the day.

If you live outside Asheville and cannot come to River’s Wednesday evening classes, this is a great opportunity to come and experience some intensive study time with him, especially if you have been working from his book and his Teachable.com program, Share the Drum.
