The Journeyperson Program is geared for farmers in the Southern Appalachian region who’ve been in business independently for at least 3 years. As farmers push into years 4 and 5 , they have a sense of what their business is, what marketing channels they have, and what kinds of income and expenses they experience. In addition, they have a solid foundation of production experience.
The JP program is designed to help farmers take the next step and go deeper to analyze their individual farm business to plan for where it can expand and improve. This includes holistic financial planning, revising goals and values, and a detailed enterprise analysis, all based on a solid foundation of their own farm numbers. The cohort setting allows you to learn from experienced farmers, and also to develop deeper relationships with farmers in a similar business phase.
The final key piece of the program is an individual mentorship to more specifically address your farm and business needs.
