Weaving is one of those crafts that once you begin, you just don’t want to stop. We are offering this class in response to the call for a longer session in basketry, to dive a bit deeper into weave patterns, and create a multi-functional vessel that you will become your new travel companion.
Join us for two full days as we weave up ourselves an old-timey pack basket; one that is light, durable, and comfortable on your body to be able to put on many trail miles. We will use flat weaving material, a combination of reed, black ash, and hickory bark. This is an opportunity to make a backpack that is completely custom to your body and artistry. Come hang out with us for a full weekend of crafting and dive deeper into the meditation of weaving!
