Drawdown is that point in time when the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere begins to decline on a year-to-year basis. Project Drawdown is the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.
Drawdown is based on meticulous research that maps, measures, models, and describes the most substantive solutions to global warming that already exist. It is the most important goal for humanity to strive for at this time.
The four-session series was created by Pachamama Alliance and Paul Hawken – the Drawdown Project lead scientist. This is the first time this series has been offered in Asheville.
This series is designed for individuals and groups who are ready to identify personal and family solutions that are within reach and/or have an interest in working with community organizations and the City of Asheville to implement climate solutions and policies.
Katherine Wilkerson, VP of Communications and Engagement at the national Drawdown Project, will be in Asheville delivering a lecture at The Collider’s Climate City Expo in April 2019. The Collider is generously offering free tickets to this event ($35 value) to anyone who participates in this four-session series.
Partial and full scholarships are available from Community Roots. Please message us if you are unable to purchase a ticket – no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
