Join Asheville Museum of Science at The Collider for the next edition of Science Pub, a FREE Friday night guest speaker series offered by AMOS. Bethany Stolevski, Engineering Manager at GF Linamar, will present “Engineering & the Science of Die-Casting.’” This program will take place on Friday, August 31, at The Collider. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation begins at 6 p.m
Mechanical engineer, Bethany Stolevski will explain how auto parts are made with a high pressure die cast machine at GFLinamar. Science and engineering plays a huge role in making a quality part, avoiding the high cost of scrap. She will explain how each step of the process involves a deep understanding of science.
The program is FREE and open to the public, with donations accepted at the door. It takes place at The Collider in downtown Asheville, on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building at 1 Haywood St. Attendees are invited to enjoy light bites provided by Ingles Markets and refreshments provided by Asheville Brewers Alliance before settling in for a fascinating night of science.
