A supportive and welcoming place to try standup for the first time, and a great way for people of any experience level to develop their writing and performance. It’s a no pressure and fun space for any goal from just wanting to do something out-of-the-box on a Saturday to working on your dream of doing standup.
The workshop includes starting at the basics including how to hold a mic, standup etiquette, getting comfortable and confident on stage. We’ll dive into basic joke writing and performance by studying professional comedians’ techniques and experimenting with individual writing and performance. By the end of the workshop you will be ready to kill it at any open mic!
