The Sierra Nevada Tailgate Market hosts more than thirty local farmers, growers, and Appalachian artists and crafters with a wide array of offerings every Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
You can find fresh herbs, produce, meats, cheeses, mushrooms, cut flowers, and native landscaping plants, plus beautiful hand-forged metal goods, intricate woodworking, healing herbal salves, original jewelry designs, and more.
Come taste an heirloom tomato grown by Mills River’s Paul Shoemaker of Holly Springs Farm or join in as chefs from the Taproom share how to transform the offerings of Greg Carter’s Deep Woods Mushrooms into a delicious dinner. The Sierra Nevada Tailgate Market is bringing neighbors together to support and celebrate the rich farming traditions of our community. Remember to bring your reusable bag for shopping at the market.
June is Pollinator Month!
Asheville GreenWorks, home of Asheville’s Bee City USA designation, will be buzzing around the Tailgate Market this month with their “Pollunteers.” Check out their tent for more info, events, and a market-wide Pollinator Scavenger Hunt!

Customers make a regular financial commitment to a farmer in return for a regular share of their goods. It helps farmers plan for their growing season and helps customers reduce time planning and shopping.)
