Get a Library Card by Email and Access Digital Resources Today!

The Buncombe County library system wants you to be able to check out all of its amazing electronic resources while the libraries are closed, so they are now offering library cards through email!

Here’s how it works:

1. Email [email protected] and ask for a library card. You need to be a Buncombe County resident to get a card.

2. A library staff member will reply and ask you to email a copy or photo of your local ID.

3. Once received, they’ll send you back a library card number and PIN that you can use for all digital resources.

4. The physical card will be mailed to you at a later date.

Remember, all Buncombe County and Asheville City School IDs can be used to check out library materials, so if you have a school ID you already have a library card.

Buncombe County will give out cards by email as long as the library system is closed to the public. They can also renew cards by email and answer any questions you may have.

Just contact at [email protected] or check out the Buncombe County libraries website or Facebook pages for the latest information.
