Although it’s only February, Montford Park Players has already had an exciting year! This past January, Executive Director John Russell, accompanied by Artistic Director Jason Williams, Marketing Director and Resident Dance Choreographer Kristi DeVille, Board Chair Tod Leaven, and company member Mandy Bean, attended the annual Shakespeare Theatre Association Conference. This year’s event was held in Atlanta, where the team had the opportunity to connect with fellow Shakespeare enthusiasts from around the world and gain valuable insights into the industry.

The 2024 season — Muse of Fire: Shakespeare’s Wars of the Roses — will include the following performances:

Edward III. – May 10-26

Richard II. – May 31-June 23

Henry IV 1.2. – June 28-July 21

Henvry V. – July 26-August 25

Henry VI. 1.2.3. – August 30-September 22

Richard III. – September 27-October 27

Each performance will be presented on the outdoor stage of the Hazel Robinson Amphitheatre, nestled in the grandeur of the southern Appalachian Mountains.

This event presents an ideal opportunity for those who have never witnessed all of Shakespeare’s histories, or for those who are seeking to complete the entire Shakespearean canon. Montford Park Players is committed to bringing Shakespeare to a diverse audience, and therefore all performances are free to the public.
