Buncombe County Launches the Community Health Assessment Survey

Buncombe County Health and Human Services (BCHHS) is calling on residents to participate in a crucial Community Health Assessment (CHA) to identify key health needs.

This initiative, part of a regional collaborative effort facilitated by WNC Healthy Impact, aims to improve community health through insights gathered from surveys covering various health-related factors.

Residents can expect calls from “WNC Health” for the survey, which takes about 20 minutes to complete, or they can participate online, including a Spanish version. Previous assessments have identified priority areas such as heart disease, diabetes, birth outcomes, mental health, and substance use disorders. Participation from all residents is encouraged to ensure a comprehensive understanding of community health needs.
