Board of Elections Approves Modified 2024 General Election Early Voting Plan

At its meeting on May 21, the Buncombe County Board of Elections unanimously approved modifications to the Early Voting implementation plan for the Nov. 5 General Election.

During an update at the May 17 meeting, the Board heard confirmation from staff on the rural site selection and discussed further considerations around the Reynolds Village site. The implementation plan will now be submitted to the State Board of Elections for final approval.

Deputy Elections Director Fox presented an updated 14-site plan today that  includes Upper Hominy Fire & Rescue and the North Asheville Library, details an inclement weather policy, and outlines weekend hours including Saturdays and one Sunday.
