Route 28 - Serves US Highway 70 and Old US 70 Between Asheville and Black Mountain Route 28-A - Serves State Street, Ridgecrest Assembly, Montreat Road, Montreat College Route 28 -B - Serves Broadway Street, Blue Ridge Road, Highland Farms, Swannanoa Valley Medical Center, Blue Ridge Apartments, Lakeview Center

**The new Asheville/Black Mountain bus route is now in operation. Buses will run three times daily arriving at the Black Mountain Train Depot at 11:40 a.m., 3:40 p.m., and 9:40 p.m. Buses wil depart from Black Mountain at 11:50 a.m., 3:50 p.m., and 9:50 p.m. The fare is $1 per trip. Buses will travel west on old Highway 70 with stops at the Asheville Mall and Mission St. Joseph's Health System and other stops in between.

Buses run Monday through Saturday with the exception of the number 6 bus which does not run on Saturdays. There also may be slight schedule changes made to the early runs on Saturday. For additional information call the Asheville Transit Center, (828) 253-5691.
