Introduction to Botanical Dyeing

Program Description: Learn how you can use plants you probably have in your garden to dye wool or cloth. Pat and Joyce will give a quick tour of the history of natural dyeing and introduce you to some easy plants to grow for a variety of colors. Using common household equipment, they will show you how to prepare your fabric or wool to achieve deep and long-lasting color from these plants. Pat and Joyce will demonstrate the dyeing technique and reveal the finished product at the end.
