The Learning Garden presents: Introduction to Botanical Dyeing Location: Virtual attendance via Zoom video and audio internet connection Presenters: Pat Strang and Joyce Tromba, Extension Master GardenerSM Volunteers Program Description: Learn how you can use plants you probably have in your garden to dye wool or cloth. Pat and Joyce will give a quick tour of the history of natural dyeing and introduce you to some easy plants to grow for a variety of colors. Using common household equipment, they will show you how to prepare your fabric or wool to achieve deep and long-lasting color from these plants. Pat and Joyce will demonstrate the dyeing technique and reveal the finished product at the end. Registration: The talk is free, but participation is limited and registration is required.
