Bells will ring & Angels will get wings this November at the Capitol!
Doors will open one hour prior.
Drinks and concessions available.
The Capitol Theater of Downtown Greeneville, Tennessee is pleased to announce that they’ll be bringing one the most beloved movies of all time to their screen as part of their Classics at the Capitol series. On November 24th at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, the Capitol Theatre will be showing Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life. This 1946 classic, which stars James Stewart and Donna Reed, has become a staple of the Christmas season. Tickets for this event will be only $5.00 and will be available at the door and online.
It’s A Wonderful Life is the story of George Bailey, a small town business man who is desperate and on the brink of committing suicide. Heavenly intervention takes place in the from on a junior angel named Clarence who shows George what the world would be like without him and teaches him the lesson that “no man who has friends is a failure.” Directed by Frank Capra, a man who made some of the most American films of all time, It’s a Wonderful Life was a massive flop upon its original release. Over time, and numerous TV airings, the film has become as much a part of the Christmas season as Jingle Bells and overeating.
It’s a Wonderful Life will be introduced by local columnist and film writer Andy Ross, “There’s a certain hallmark to Christmas movies, and it doesn’t get much bigger than It’s a Wonderful Life. I’m so excited to be introducing this one at the Capitol to give the Christmas season a proper kick off.”
Classics at The Capitol is the monthly film series featured at the historic Capitol Theater, which operated as a movie theater from 1934 to 1992. The monthly series is dedicated to bringing a wide range of films to the community as they were went to be seen, with an audience, on the big screen.

The gong impacts the body and its meridians. It releases blocks, reduces tension and stimulates circulation. The result of this is a reorganization of the emotional energy and feelings that are tied into the body structure.
The gong changes the feelings that are blocked by cutting the thoughts that sustain and recreate the feelings. As a person comes back to normal, they notice a great difference between their current bodily feelings and the ones they are used to. This can be frightening, arousing, exciting or delightful. That will depend on the individual.
We will stretch, meditate and bathe in the sound of the gong to release ,relax and restore our being.

Come see the hopeful and uplifting representations of masculinity that the artists of ZaPow have created in the forthcoming group show; Reclaiming Masculinity.
Masculinity does not have to equal assaulting people with less power. It’s time to stop accepting that Boys will be Boys. In these troubled times we look to our heroes and role models in Pop Culture to reclaim what it means to be masculine.
Actor Terry Krews flexes his giant muscles while also proudly proclaiming his status as a feminist. Spok highlights the benefit of cool headed contemplation in place of naked aggression. Fin and Jake (from Adventure Time) are rough and tumble adventure seekers but they would never use their power or abilities to harm others. Gandalf succeeds in battling the darkness of Sauron through clever planning and orchestration of others strengths in place of shock and awe desolation. Nick Offerman, (famed woodworker and man’s man) eloquently stated what it can mean to be masculine when he was asked in an interview about the last time that he cried:
“I went to theatre school. I took two semesters of ballet. I’m the sissy in my family. I cry with pretty great regularity. It’s not entirely accurate to equate me with manliness. I stand for my principals and I work hard and I have good manners but machismo is a double-sided coin. A lot of people think it requires behavior that can quickly veer into misogyny and things I consider indecent. We’ve been sold this weird John Wayne mentality that fistfights and violence are vital to being a man. I’d rather hug than punch. Crying at something that moves you to joy or sadness is just as manly as chopping down a tree or punching out a bad guy. To answer your question, I recently saw Alicia Keys perform live. I’d never seen her before and the sheer golden, heavenly talent issuing from her and her singing instrument had both my wife and me in tears. What a gorgeous gift she has. Her voice is so great. And I had no shame [about crying.] If you live your life openly with your emotions, that’s a more manly stance than burying them.”
So, if you have grown weary of domestic terrorism and sexual violence, visit ZaPow to help us focus our culture’s attention on the good that masculinity has to offer our society. Let us not lose hope for what we may build if we stand together.

John Berry has a new outlook, a new address and a new beginning. The singer-songwriter rose to stardom on the country charts of the 1990s with such mega hits as “Your Love Amazes Me,” “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye” and “She’s Taken a Shine.” He has earned multiple Gold and Platinum records over the years. John was nominated for the ACM Top New Male Vocalist in 1994, won a Grammy Award in 1996 for his participation in Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1. In 1997 he was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year (for Long Haired Country Boy with Charlie Daniels and Hal Ketchum) and in 2013 John was nominated for the Mainstream Country Male Artist by the ICM Awards. And thanks to the miracles of modern technology, he even sang a duet with the late, great Patsy Cline. “I love what I do, with a passion not seen in quite some time,” says Berry. “I’m hopeful and excited about the future. I love singing and always will.” His annual Christmas tours brighten the holidays for thousands, as does his electrifying rendition of O’ Holy Night. We invite you to join John for an evening of stories, memories and a traditional Holiday music filled event for the entire family.
Come on out and enjoy some cold beers and dope acoustic stylings by yours truly.

SAKI BOMB
https://sakibomb.bandcamp.com/album/lo-fi-midnight-rituals
The local indie and electronic music community of the South Eastern US has never known exactly what to make of German born electronic music producer and musician SAKI BOMB. In the past he has been tagged with everything from ambient, witch house, trip-hop and electro to techno, avant-garde, and even jungle and industrial. The US producer, also known as Kupernikus, had his humble beginnings in 2007, when he first experimented with lo-fi home recordings, blending Scottish bagpipes and world percussion with washed out field recording samples, drony noises, synthesizers and drum machines.
Pushing into more unusual electronic music territories, SAKI BOMB has been known within the South Eastern indie music scene, for unique audio/visual live performances, liberating from the stigma of the “button pusher” or laptop musician, by integrating analog gear like a modular synthesizer system, drum machine, noise boxes, percussion and of course, the bagpipes. Composed of lo-fi samples, often dark ambient textures, warm synth tones, dub echoes, glitchy IDM and trip-hop rhythms, SAKI BOMB is as well suited for forest strolls and lost Sunday afternoon day dreams, as for underground clubs and electronic house shows. SAKI BOMB has self-released an entire catalog of EPs and singles since 2010 through his Bandcamp site and performed across the South Eastern USA, including Nophest 2013 (Atlanta), TEDx 2012 (Greenville) Drone Fest 2 (Clemson) and FutureFest 2017 (Columbia). His music has been featured on My Old Kentucky Blog (SIRIUS/XMU Blog Radio), WSBF 88.1, WFMU 91.1 and WUSC 90.5 College Radio.
The fusion of analog haze, fuzz and digital clearness, reflects on SAKI BOMB’s mastery of production and composition work, inviting the listener into a timeless world of electronic, ambient bliss. Snippets of field recordings, deconstructed techno, ambient dub echoes, organic pulse, handcrafted samples, bagpipes, modular synth and percussion are scattered gracefully over drum machine beats, or simply left as ambient collages, sculpting the music that is SAKI BOMB.
Wounded Hollow
https://woundedhollow.bandcamp.com/album/alchemate
Started as a creative outlet/side project for upstate, SC bass guitarist Corey McDaniels that he indulged in when not playing bass in various Carolina based bands. What started as simple ambient guitar tracks for an exercise in expression and composition then turned into a way to make his primary instrument, the bass guitar, command new sonic spaces and contexts. The name Wounded Hollow came from the idea of an imperfect marriage between electronic and non-electronic or organic, elements. Corey was able to recruit Asheville drummer and fellow member of electronic/shoegaze band Via into the fold in late 2017, after which Corey obtained his first synthesizer and began incorporating it into Wounded Hollow while also rebuilding it. The band as it now stands is a meeting place for loops, bass and drum grooves, ambient synth textures, minimalism, drone, improvisation, and restrained nods to progressive rock. Wounded Hollow did a limited tape release for the debut album “Alchemate” in 2016 and is now writing another record to be released in the not too distant future.
