Presented by the High School Academy Students, Sweeney Todd has become a bloody, worldwide success since being awarded eight Tony Awards (including Best Musical), for its Broadway premiere and has now been adapted for high school performers in Sweeney Todd School Edition. Stephen Sondheim’s and Hugh Wheeler’s (A Little Night Music, Pacific Overtures) tasty, thrilling, theatrical treat has simultaneously shocked, awed and delighted audiences across the world.
An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up… and the carnage has only just begun!
This special School Edition has been masterfully adapted, working directly with Mr. Sondheim to retain the dark wit and grand scope of the original work, with a few lyric and key changes to facilitate high school productions. At the show’s core is a challenging score of epic proportion with two tasty tour-de-force roles in Sweeney and his comic female accomplice, Mrs. Lovett. Sweeney Todd School Edition is sure to be the highlight of any high school’s season.

Music by Tom Snow; Lyrics by Dean Pitchford; Stage Adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie
A musical version of the 1984 film! When teenager Ren McCormack moves from Chicago to a small town, he isn’t prepared for the stifling local laws, including a ban on dancing and rock music instituted by the local preacher. As he struggles to fit in, he encourages his classmates to defy the local pastor and call for a rock’n’roll prom. Fist pump!
“Footloose” combines songs from the hit 1984 soundtrack with dynamic new songs – and though it might seem like just a lot of fun, it also celebrates the wisdom of opening minds and listening to the voices of young people. Director Jerry Crouch, music director Lynda Ferrell Shuler, and choreographer Tina Pisano-Foor have put together an incredible cast of students and adults from our community to bring “Footloose” to life!

Set sail for laughter as Bertie Wooster revels in life aboard the Vanderley yacht. Bertie is the pampered guest of the lively Lady Stella (very fetching profile), accompanied, as always, by his peerless valet, Jeeves. If only Bertie’s pal Crumpet hadn’t assaulted a prince. In the blink of an eye, Bertie is masquerading as a romance novelist, Crumpet’s posing as his own long-lost twin, and a sinister foreign count is challenging Bertie to a duel. Will this madcap case of mistaken identities end in Bertie’s doom–or worse, his marriage? Have no fear; Jeeves will sort it all out.

Asheville countrygrass trio Redleg Husky returns to Sanctuary Brewing Company Company Friday February 15th, 2019 for a night of good times and hot pickin’!
Redleg Husky is a country and bluegrass band from Asheville, North Carolina. Since its inception in 2012, the group has been performing its unique blend of American music in barrooms, theaters, and festivals throughout the Southeast and beyond. The group has released four recordings of original music in that time, including three full-length albums – Carolina in 2014, My Old Heart in 2016, and Don’t Be Bashful in 2018.
Throughout its time together, the band has been garnering rave reviews, including features in Asheville’s Mountain Xpress and Boone’s High Country Press and Watauga Democrat, and regular airplay on regional stations WNCW, WRIR, and WTJU. The group has also opened for a number of prominent national acts, including Larry Keel, The Tillers, and The Howlin’ Brothers.
Redleg Husky is led by Tim McWilliams on guitar, banjo, and vocals, and features some of Asheville’s finest musicians, including Drayton Aldridge on fiddle (Drayton and the Dreamboats; Sirius B.), William Ritter on fiddle/vocals/banjo, Tim Comstock on bass (Alexa Rose), and Zach Smith on bass (Town Mountain). The band has previously included songwriter, vocalist, and bassists Son the Bassman, between 2015 and 2018, and co-founder, songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Misa Giroux, between 2012 and 2016.
With more than five hundred shows already under their belt, the group is excited to continue their musical evolution, developing new takes on classic songs, bringing an impassioned live show to audiences throughout the region, and pushing musical boundaries within the many sub-genres of Americana.

And stay after for a dance party with all of your favorite dance tracks..
And of course, our voted #1 Jello shots…
The Sultry Sirens Revue began as the impassioned collaboration between Burlesque Performer and Pin-Up Model, Roxie Rose LeMoan (Executive Producer) and some of the best performers in WNC. Roxie’s is known for her classic and nostalgic approach to entertainment that transports audience members back to a time when showgirls and starlets reigned supreme. Old Hollywood glamour meets the mysterious world of the underground nightclub and the long forgotten Vaudeville Theater of yesteryear. Our performers happily live a “vintage” lifestyle and have incorporated mid-century culture and fashion in their everyday lives. The Troupe presents professional Burlesque experiences, with a cast of dedicated, trained, experienced dance and theater performers. Aiming to provide a safe and supportive space for audiences of all gender identities, sexual orientations and expression.

About:
Acoustic Syndicate is a musical institution. Since 1994, their unique blend of bluegrass instruments, rock sensibilities, and conscious songwriting has inspired a generation of musicians. Through 7 albums, thousands of performances, and tens-of-thousands of miles, Acoustic Syndicate has long been heralded as one of the important influences on the modern roots-music revival.
Always a family affair, the band is fronted by Steve McMurry on guitar and vocals, and his cousin Bryon McMurry on banjo, guitar, and vocals. Their signature three-part harmony is rounded out by Bryon’s brother Fitz on drums and vocals. Jay Sanders holds down the bass with style, while dobro maestro Billy Cardine completes the quintet with his world-renowned tone and precision.
“Their modern take on traditional bluegrass and rock values culminates in a glimmering, driving sound rich with acoustic textures and glowing vocals,” said Paul Kerr, of JamBase.
If there was ever a band that could capture the universal truths of life from the roots up, it’s Acoustic Syndicate.
