About Little Woodlander – We are a small, family business living in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Our handcrafted jewelry is inspired by nature and western culture. While most of the items you will see in our shop are pre-made, we do offer custom orders as well! Please keep in mind that we do use recycled horse tack and belts as well as hand-stamp all our own pieces, making no two piece the same!
About Elevated Mountain Distilling – Elevated Mountain Distilling Company is a craft distiller of top-shelf whiskeys and spirits based in Maggie Valley, NC. We are located where America’s favorite drive meets America’s most visited park! The name, Elevated Mountain, reflects the fact that Haywood County has the highest average median elevation (3600 ft.) of any county east of the Rockies. Due to our high elevation, all our natural water originates within Haywood County.
Maggie Valley is the most elevated incorporated valley in the United States at 3020 feet! Half of Maggie Valley’s water is sourced from Campbell Creek which flows from Waterrock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The other half flows from Fie Creek and Jonathan Creek, which border the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Drawdown is that point in time when the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere begins to decline on a year-to-year basis. Project Drawdown is the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.
Drawdown is based on meticulous research that maps, measures, models, and describes the most substantive solutions to global warming that already exist. It is the most important goal for humanity to strive for at this time.
The four-session series was created by Pachamama Alliance and Paul Hawken – the Drawdown Project lead scientist. This is the first time this series has been offered in Asheville.
This series is designed for individuals and groups who are ready to identify personal and family solutions that are within reach and/or have an interest in working with community organizations and the City of Asheville to implement climate solutions and policies.
Katherine Wilkerson, VP of Communications and Engagement at the national Drawdown Project, will be in Asheville delivering a lecture at The Collider’s Climate City Expo in April 2019. The Collider is generously offering free tickets to this event ($35 value) to anyone who participates in this four-session series.
Partial and full scholarships are available from Community Roots. Please message us if you are unable to purchase a ticket – no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Red Zinfandel lovers unite! Join us for a free wine tasting featuring 5 different Red Zins from California. It’s gonna’ be tasty and fun — don’t miss it!
I love Red Zinfandel and I am super excited about this tasting! Zinfandel, with it’s hearty, spicy and robust character, has become one of California’s most loved red wines. Originally from Croatia, the grape made its way to Southern Italy before coming to America in the 1850’s. The grape is naturally high in acidity and its spicy, berry-scented and flavored style is hard to resist. Even more interesting is the fact that it is grown in a number of California regions, each version tastes different. Join us as we take you on a Red Zinfandel journey, from Sonoma and Amador County to Lodi and Napa Valley. It’s gonna’ be a fun ride, it’s free, and all of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle. Stop by!
Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!
Don’t forget, all the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day.
1. 2015 Gen5 Old Vine Zinfandel (Lodi, California) – Here’s the top value of the tasting! 100% estate grown and including vines up to 90 years old, it is “medium-bodied wine has plenty of plummy flavors and a spicy streak of black pepper and smoke running through it from the aroma to the finish.” Wine Enthusiast – 87 points
2. 2015 Easton Wines Zinfandel (Amador County, California) – Bill Easton is one of the pioneers of Amador’s modern winemaking era, founding his winery in 1984. And his wines still lead the pack in terms of quality. His Zin “(e)pitomizes fine Sierra Foothills Zinfandel, offering vibrant, briary raspberry, smoked pepper and wild sweet anise flavors that stretch out on the zesty finish.” Wine Spectator – 92 points
3. 2016 Field Recordings Fiction Red Blend (Paso Robles, California) – This has quickly become a staff and customer favorite at the store, and I recently bought my supplier out. It’s not all Zin, as it includes several other grapes, but it shows that classic, ripe and rich Paso Robles character. You’re gonna’ love it!
4. 2017 Bedrock Wine Company Old Vine Zinfandel (Various Regions, California) – Bedrock continues to wow palates nationwide. Morgan Twain-Peterson and his team produce this wine using fruit from multiple, very old North Coast vineyards. It’s gutsy, it’s full of personality, and it’s loaded with ripe notes of brambly blueberry, boysenberry, and spicy oak.
5. Surprise Wine – We always end the tasting with a special surprise. Trust me, this one’s gonna’ be super special.

Set sail for laughter as Bertie Wooster revels in life aboard the Vanderley yacht. Bertie is the pampered guest of the lively Lady Stella (very fetching profile), accompanied, as always, by his peerless valet, Jeeves. If only Bertie’s pal Crumpet hadn’t assaulted a prince. In the blink of an eye, Bertie is masquerading as a romance novelist, Crumpet’s posing as his own long-lost twin, and a sinister foreign count is challenging Bertie to a duel. Will this madcap case of mistaken identities end in Bertie’s doom–or worse, his marriage? Have no fear; Jeeves will sort it all out.
