2022: A SPACE PAWDYSSEY Halloween Dog Parade

SPACE THEMED HALLOWEEN DOG PARADE

Join us Sunday, October 30th for our first annual Halloween Dog Parade! Watch the costume parade, visit with local dog-themed vendors and enjoy the festivities in the fall gardens. The 2022: A SPACE PAWDYSSEY Parade starts with a Master of Ceremonies and prizes will be awarded for best costume. Want to enter your furry friend into the costume contest? Details below.

3:30 GRAND PRIZE ANNOUNCED

To participate in the Parade:
Registration starts at 1:00 p.m. in the Education Center Plaza. Registration includes one dog and one dog handler to walk in the parade. Participants will be given a number to be eligible for prizes. Advanced registration is not required and there is no registration fee

 

While we are all excited to meet your furry friends in the garden, please note that both buildings and the Bonsai Exhibition Garden are off-limits for pets.

It won’t be long before the temperature starts to drop, the mornings get darker and we dust off coats and gloves before leaving the house. Why grin and bear it, when you can plan an escape! We’ve rounded up some warmer destinations to plan your next adventure. From rafting the Zambezi River to paddle boarding off the coast of Baja, move those summer clothes to a suitcase and pack for these sun-drenched spots across the globe.

The YWCA indoor pool hosts a comprehensive Aquatics Program with activities for all ages, abilities, and interests.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Join the fun in the pool as a swim assistant. Help children and adults learn the basics of floating, kicking, breathing, and diving.
  • Support the Aquatics Program with behind-the-scenes administrative work or on-the-deck supervising
