Jacks River Band
Known for their funky blues-rock style and extended improvised jams, Jacks River Band performs with an undeniably contagious energy. Their improvisational funkadelic rock sound features a hard hitting rhythm section, gut-busting guitar leads, and soul soothing vocals. Drawing on legendary influences such as The Allman Brothers Band, Red Hot Chile Peppers, The Grateful Dead, and The Derek Trucks Band, Jacks River Band delivers a uniquely blended sound that pushes the boundaries of blues rock, yet still remains familiar.

The only thing better than listening to amazing music is the relationships we make at shows and festivals. The special bond that comes from sharing musical moments with friends can only be described as magic. That’s why we started Majic Music Entertainment and why we’re making the night of April 20th our very first event! We’ve got three of the area’s most talented producers to fill the air with beautiful sound and positive vibes on a night you won’t forget! We have all the makings for an epic night, so the rest is up to you! If you’d like to be a part of something new, this is the place to be! It also happens to take place on our favorite holiday!! Thanks universe!!
Venue:
Have you checked out The Alley Cat Social Club in West Asheville? The Alley Cat is a brand new venue with an intimate setting. The space has never been used as a venue so everything is brand new. This club is waiting for the right group to call it home. With the recent closing of some of Asheville’s favorite venues, The Alley Cat is here to fill the void. Your support can help make it a success for years to come. The venue has a great stage for dj’s to perform up close & personal with the crowd (our favorite way to see a show) It has an outdoor patio and is located on the main strip of West Asheville. It has a capacity of 130 people so get there early!
Music:
Kirby Bright
Zeplinn
& Murkury
Need I say more? These guys do more than make beats, they create beautiful and uplifting musical journeys. Can’t really explain it, you’ll just have to come and see for yourself!
Tickets:
We kept the ticket price for this as cheap as possible. Tickets will be sold at the door only so bring cash for entry to the show. We want to start something new and hope everyone will be a part of it! For $8 bucks you’ll get 3 of the area’s best dj’s, premium sound, lighting, and lots of surprises!
Music starts around 11pm and goes until it ends. If good things are happening we’ll keep on goin! Can we make it to 4:20 am?

Celebrate the glory of Easter with song, scripture and spiritual music as a spectacular sunrise ascends over Lake Lure. Chimney Rock’s nondenominational Annual Easter Sunrise Service has become a legendary event in WNC, attracting more than 1,000 early risers from around the Southeast.
5 – 6 am – Gates open for visitors with a ticket
6 am – Gates close for admittance
6:30 – 7am – Easter Sunrise Service
Please Note: ALL TICKETS TO THIS YEAR’S SERVICE HAD SOLD OUT.
Due to limited parking capacity caused by recent heavy rain storms, this year’s Easter event will be ticketed. Rather than cancel the event or alienate guests who come down to the Park in the early morning hours only to be turned away, we are going to issue advance tickets. Tickets are complimentary and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning April 1. The number of tickets are limited. Park a couple of cars in Chimney Rock Village and come into the Park together. A ticket is required. Vehicles can be no larger than a 16-passenger van. Vehicles without a ticket will not be admitted. Only one ticket is allowed per household; even those with a handicapped placard will be required to have a ticket for their vehicle. Thanks for your understanding.
A breakfast buffet will be offered at the Old Rock Café following the service for $11.75 for adults and $6.99 for children under 10; drinks are not included. Guests who would like to return to the Park after breakfast can show their Old Rock receipt and bulletin at the Ticket Plaza to receive free admission for the day.

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway’s Come From Away has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don’t miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein and helmed by this year’s Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, “It takes you to a place you never want to leave!”
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

A big community work day to kick start the season at our Grove Street and the Elder and Sage Gardens downtown (BeLoved is the main community partner of this garden)!
Come out on this Earth Day weekend to be the change! Bring veggies plants, gloves, gardening tools for planting! Bring your carpentry skills and help finish the ramp for friends in wheel chairs to garden at the Elder and Sage Gardens. We will finish the day sharing about our BeLoved Tiny Home Village and the work of Human and Environmental Sustainability for that project and some tiny art making! This is a kid-friendly project!
Meet at 1 pm at BeLoved 39 Grove Street to begin the day working on the Grove Street Gardens! We will have an Easter egg hunt in the garden! We will be moving to the Elder and Sage Garden on Page Ave downtown at 2:30 pm
In the midst of a rapidly gentrifying City, in the midst of the concrete and asphalt, we build gardens . In vacant, broken, and barren spaces, we practice resurrection! In the face of climate change, we work for sustainability. In the midst of food deserts for our elders, we plant food. In the face of a segregated society, we build community!

Join the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and Highland Brewing Company for a moderately difficult hike to Upper Catawba Falls. The Catawba River flows for approximately 220 miles, beginning in the Southern Appalachians until it drains in the South Carolina Piedmont. Our hike will begin near the headwaters of this great river to the Upper Catawba Falls. Participants will travel by the water, through a rich cove forest filled with rhododendron, hemlock, and maple trees. Participants will be rewarded with up close views and the cooling mists of the SAHC-protected Upper Catawba Falls. Our hike begins on a tract which has been protected through a conservation easement with SAHC. The trail involves several creek crossings – 18 round trip! – So prepare for wet feet.
This hike is also a celebration of the release of Highland Brewing Company’s Wanderlush, a hazy adventure ale! As part of our For Love of Beer and Mountains hike series, participants will be invited to try this double dry hopped ale elevated by notes of melon, pineapple, and fresh squeezed orange juice on the hike. So come out and let’s celebrate Wanderlush Hazy Adventure Ale and land conservation together.
