socially distant event. No frills – just running! Our iDaph Team will be at Fletcher Park every 2nd
and 4th Wednesday from July through September to offer participants a bib and a chip timed 5K
event for $10. Sign up for all 6 races for just $50 to receive a super comfy, awesome t-shirt and
a commemorative series medal, and to be included in our series scoring and win prizes.

Location:  (Bill Moore Park is formerly known as Fletcher Park and is located at 85
Howard Gap Road in Fletcher, NC). Virtual option can be run anywhere.

Pub Run with Jus’ Running

Join us at Archetype Brewing in West Asheville every Wednesday as we kick-off the Jus’ Running Pub Run for 2020!

GUIDELINES: Due to Covid, we have enacted new Pub Run guidelines and will be practicing proper social distancing.
**Rolling Start: Participants will begin their run anytime between 6:00pm and 6:30pm which is meant to disperse runners.**
**Participants must have masks “on-hand” at all times. Masks must be worn when at the brewery (unless at your table). Masks are not required to be worn when actually running, but you must have one in your possession “ready to deploy” if necessary.**

Where: Archetype Brewing West at 265 Haywood Rd

When: Every Wednesday, rolling start from 6pm-6:30pm

What: A casual 4-mile or 2.5-mile jog through West Asheville. Route is similar to last year’s with minor modifications.

Cradle to Grave Race

Cradle of Forest

The Cradle to Grave Race offers a 10k and 30k race option, both of which start and end at the Cradle of Forestry’s Forest Discovery Center in Pisgah National Forest. Both length options offer a difficult race with lots of elevation changes. The 10k takes you through the Pink Beds Trail and back to the Cradle of Forestry, while the 30k takes you through the Pink Beds Trail, up to the scenic views of the Pilot Cove Slate Rock trail and back. Event has been rescheduled from May 9th to September 12th.

A fun individual, family or team event to benefit Buncombe county students and their families. Your support of this event will enable Eblen Charities to continue to assist more than 125,000 families annually through medical care & supplies, prescription assistance, travel assistance, dental & physician care, and funding assistance for food, rent, heat, & other emergency aid.

Participants on bikes, strollers and skates are all welcome to participate in this easy walk through the main campus of AB Tech.

100% of the proceeds from Eblen’s 5K/10K Walk, Run, Roll go directly to help local families.

T-shirt pick up will be held at the Eblen Charities office, 50 Westgate Parkway, Asheville NC 28806 on Thursday, October 10th 12-5pm and Friday, October 11th 12-6pm.

Adult Beginner Tennis Classes

Hendersonville Racquet Club

Hendersonville Racquet Club is offering a six week series of classes for adult beginner tennis players.  Try Tennis is a tennis instruction program for beginners.  The Monday night classes are 6 pm.  The cost is $40 for the six weeks and includes six hours of instruction, a tennis racquet and a Try Tennis t-shirt.

“Try Tennis is a great program we do in partnership with the NC USTA.  Their help allows new players to get from couch to court in six weeks at less than half the price it would normally cost…plus they get a t-shirt and racquet! We will teach you the right way to play with certified tennis pros.  This is a great program to get into tennis for adults.” stated HRC Owner Chris Bull.

Hendersonville Racquet Club is a six acre complex that includes 7 outdoor tennis courts, 3 indoor tennis courts, four racquetball courts, three pickleball courts, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, group fitness room and outdoor leisure area by Shaw’s Creek and pond.
