The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is Western North Carolina’s home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity. Featuring science-based exhibits and programs on-site and educational programming in schools and the community, AMOS strives to give science lovers of all ages a hands-on, interactive experience.

The 0.8 acre Rose Garden located in North Asheville is a beautiful garden in the middle of Griffing Boulevard. Drive by and view the hundreds of rose bushes.
Located in the Montford Community, Magnolia Park features a half court basketball court, restrooms, an open shelter, playground, picnic tables, and a paved walking path.
These neighborhood parks are located on Caledonia Rd. in the Kenilworth neighborhood in east Asheville featuring trails, natural areas and a playground. Seven Springs Park, Meadow Park and Forest Park are a series of neighborhood parks featuring trails, natural areas and a playground. Located on on Caledonia Rd. off Biltmore Ave., in Central Asheville.

This park is located in the historic Albemarle Park, east of Charlotte Street in North Asheville. The park is surrounded by the Manor Inn Apartments and the beautiful cottages. The park includes .5 acres of underdeveloped land.
The Kenilworth Park includes 3 acres of ballfields, basketball courts, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, tennis courts, 2 grills and much more. Located in the heart of the Kenilworth neighborhood on Wyoming Rd. off of Kenilworth Rd.
This 6.5 acre park is a largely undeveloped neighborhood getaway located in central Asheville. It does include two tennis courts.
Named after an Asheville legend in youth sports, Charlie Bullman Park features 6 acres of two lighted ballfields, concession and restrooms. Located on New Haw Creek Rd. in east Asheville.
This is the only park in Asheville with a 50-foot by 150-foot outdoor swimming pool. It also includes a concession stand, picnic tables, picnic grills, playground, restrooms, open shelter, and tennis courts. Located at Rumbough and Sulphur Springs Rd. in west Asheville.
Pack Square Park is the best place to see amazing performances in Asheville. Almost all of the city’s activities are held here: Bele Chere, First Night Asheville, Fourth of July Fireworks, Shindig on the Green , and much more. It is within walking distance of some of the best resturants and cafes in Asheville.
One of Asheville’s premiere parks offers volleyball courts, a giant playground, a roller-hockey rink, a basketball court, a multi-use track, a lawn bowling court, a paved trail and a multi-use sports field for baseball and soccer. Future development will include a picnic pavilion, river overlooks, boat landing, a wetland interpretive and education area, and more trails. Located on Amboy Rd. and Michigan Ave. in west Asheville.
This one mile greenway is a beautiful green space with a wide, paved walking path with gorgeous old trees. It is located off Merrimon Avenue on Weaver Boulevard in North Asheville. This is the first phase of the Broadway Greenway. The Greenway begins at the corner of Broadway St., and W.T.Weaver Blvd. and follows follows W.T.Weaver Blvd. NE.

A large park located in West Asheville on Richmond Hill Dr. offering over 180-acres of natural wooded terrain and views of the French Broad River. Amenities include a disc golf course and a series of unpaved trails.

The 2.9 acre Grove Park is a wonderful place to sit and eat lunch. Many people go there everyday to read and relax. The park has open shelters, large flowering trees, and a beautiful turn-of-the-century stone sitting wall.

This 7-acre neighborhood park is located in the heart of the Shiloh neighborhood on Shiloh Rd. in south Asheville and surrounded by the Linwood Crump Shiloh Center. It features a lighted ballfield with concession and restrooms, a basketball court, tennis court, playground, off street paved parking, picnic tables and a trail.
This 5-acre park is located in the White Pine neighborhood on White Pine Ct. in east Asheville and features open space and picnic tables.
This 3.4 acre park is dedicated to the memory of the great Martin Luther King, Jr. The park inlcudes a lighted ballfield with scoreboard, concession stand, fitness court, picnic tables, playground, restrooms, open shelter, memorial statue, courtyard, and grills. Located in south-central Asheville on Walton St., this 4.8-acre neighborhood park is popular for summer activities featuring an outdoor swimming pool complete with a concession and bath house, as well as, a softball field, basketball court, off street paved parking, a picnic shelter and a playground.
Asheville Skateboard Park is 17,000 square feet of skating excitement located at the corner of Flint and Cherry St. in downtown Asheville across I-240 from the Civic Center. Designed and built by Team Pain. A unique concrete park with three distinctive areas in the beginner bowl, intermediate street course and an advanced vertical bowl.
One of Asheville’s newest parks is in south Asheville on Bartlett St. in the South French Broad neighborhood. This 7 acre park features a walking trail and pavilion with benches and picnic tables.
This 8.6 acre park is located in west Asheville on Vermont Ave. Ext. and home to Gassaway Field, a Little League baseball field. The park also features concessions and restrooms, a playground and a picnic shelter.
Historic Riverside Cemetery is located in the Montford Historic District on Birch St. The cemetery features over 87 acres of landscaped grounds and is the final resting place for many of Asheville’s early notable citizens such as writers Thomas Wolfe and O. One of Asheville’s premier parks is located in the heart of downtown featuring large boulders with waterfalls, walkways, amphitheater-style seating and attractive landscaping. It is a favorite spot for special events and street performers.
The park is located off of Amboy Road in West Asheville. It includes 6.5 acres that are currently under construction. The Park has added picnick tables and paved walking paths that follow the river. This is a great shady place to walk on hot summer evenings.
Pack Square is the most historic section of the new Pack Square Park. New features in the square include more than a dozen comfortable benches, shade trees, broad brick sidewalks and a dramatic bronze and stone fountain. Pack Square has a long history as the center of life for over a century. It is home to many special events and highlighted by the Vance Monument. The square is 1 acre, and features a fountain, a memorial monument, handicap accessibility, and has on street parking.
