Our high-energy volunteer Oakley TreeKeepers have teamed up with our dedicated Treasured Tree committee for a fantastic Saturday in Oaktober.
This event will kick-off with the dedication of an ancient Treasured White Oak at the site of The Western North Carolina AIDS Project (WNCAP).
Following the dedication, the Oakley TreeKeepers will lead a tree stroll on a loop along Wanoca Avenue-Unaka Avenue.
The Oakley TreeKeepers have invited Chardin Detrich of Smart Feller Tree Works, a certified arborist, to offer residents on the stroll his professional advice about how best to install or preserve neighborhood trees—and tips for when loving care may be required.
