Our Voice Announces Open Call for New Board Members

Our Voice, a leading organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking, has announced an open call for new board members from Buncombe, McDowell, and Transylvania counties.

Applications will be accepted from June 24 through July 19, 2024.

Our Voice is committed to inspiring hope and healing while combating sexual violence and human trafficking through comprehensive education, counseling, and advocacy efforts. The organization is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in guiding the agency towards its vision of a community free from sexual violence. We welcome applications for a diverse range of candidates, and previous board experience is not required.

Board members at Our Voice are entrusted with a range of vital responsibilities, including:

1. Creating and implementing policy
2. Fundraising and securing resources
3. Guiding the direction of programs
4. Overseeing agency finances
5. Developing and nurturing community relationships
6. Serving as ambassadors for the agency in the community

Board members are integral to the success of Our Voice. They ensure that the agency functions effectively and continues to provide critical services to those affected by sexual violence and human trafficking.
