How do I register?
You can register on our website, thetwistedpear.net. All class reservations must be made in advance to hold your spot. Choosing “going” on the Facebook event does not guarantee a seat. Once you have paid online, your space is reserved.
Who can come?
Classes are open to everyone! All ages are welcome. We do recommend that children under 12 be joined by an adult.
What to wear?
We do provide aprons, but dress comfortably keeping in mind that paint will stain your clothing.
What if I register, but can’t make it?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance may receive a refund or a credit to a future class. Cancellations made within 48 hours will receive a class credit. No credit or refunds will be issued for no shows. Sorry!
Can I have a private class?
Sure! We offer private classes for groups of 8 or more. Cost is $35 per person, and you get to pick your group’s painting! Message us to discuss available dates.
Can I bring food?
We do offer a bar area that serves wine and beer. You cannot bring in any outside alcohol, but you are welcome to bring in snacks.

All Aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS! This memorable journey will take you on an incredible journey! Believe the magic this Holiday season!
Over 88,000 guests rode THE POLAR EXPRESS with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in 2017 and we hope to see you in 2018! The 1¼ hour round-trip excursion comes to life as the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey through the quiet wilderness for a special visit at the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story. Children’s faces show the magic of the season when the train arrives at the North Pole to find Santa Claus waiting. Santa will board THE POLAR EXPRESS, greeting each child and presenting them with a special gift as in the story, their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Bryson City Depot.
THE POLAR EXPRESS begins November 9, 2018, and operates through December 31, 2018.

Asheville High and SILSA have over 50 identified homeless students. This time of year donations are especially important due to the 2 week Christmas break when some students will not have regular meals until the new year.
The Student Assistance Fund helps keep these kids get fed over the holiday break and throughout the year helps students go on school trips, buy supplies for their school and home, buy food, and participate in educational opportunities.
Join us for a good sweat and make a difference this holiday season in theses kid’s lives!!

Thanksgiving is the largest running holiday with families all over the country getting together to share miles and smiles prior to their meal later in the day. We hope you will make this race part of your annual tradition.
Join us in Biltmore Park Town Square on Thanksgiving morning for South Asheville’s only Thanksgiving Day 5k. Our route will begin and end in front of Fleet Feet Asheville and run through Biltmore Park Town Square and the surrounding neighborhood.

Our highest priority is our commitment to having a first-class event all around.

With so many of us with family in other parts of the world, we will be keeping our doors open and invite our fellow Ashevillians over for Thanksgiving dinner. This generally come through by way of underworld subject matter highlighted in bright colors and fun abstract shapes, borders, rope-like imagery, and other whimsical additions.

Your host Jason DeCristofaro on vibraphones is joined on stage by Fatty on bass, and members of The Gypsyswingers (co-founder of Soul & Soil Project, Alina, and Mario Francesco Guitario). We will play some of our favorite gyspy-swing and gypsy-bossa tunes, as well as some original songs by Alina Mockingbird Music Medicine.
There will be a short discussion in between sets to learn about what our project is up to, and how we could use your support! Climate change, food insecurity and DIY resiliency is definitely on the agenda. <3 We would love love love to see you there!!

Santa will be at the Red Caboose on Everett Street from 2-6 pm. Then he joins friends and neighbors for caroling from Caboose Corner to the square for the lighting of the town Christmas tree. Afterwards come inside the Visitor Center for hot cocoa and cookies, letter writing to Santa, and a visit with St. Nick himself! In the true Spirit of Christmas bring a canned good to donate to the food pantry or a new unwrapped gift for for the local toy drive!
