We’re putting our build crew back together and we’d love to have you join us. Every 2 weeks, we’ll meet at 9 am for hands-on set construction! Whether your talents are building, painting, or you just want to learn, come out and join us every other Saturday for some creative fun. Tools and work gloves are helpful but not required
Get ready to embrace the spirit of Christmas with Elf: The Musical, a heartwarming and hilarious adaptation of the beloved 2003 holiday film. This enchanting musical follows the journey of Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole who embarks on a journey to New York City to find his real father. Winter Wonder Walk is a live action storybook walk, and a memorable winter festival. Guests will walk through an outdoor trail while our actors bring the pages of the giant book to life. Guests set out on a quest through the kingdom of Winterland and try to find Jack Frost while meeting several wonderful characters along the way.
Before or after the trail itself, there is a large festival tent featuring a holiday market, Mrs.Claus meet and greet, a kids play area, cozy cups of hot chocolate and warm eats. Winter Wonder Walk is also the home of Asheville’s largest snowball fight with our friendly and silly ‘Snow Sprites.’ In addition to all of this, the Adventure Center runs their two aerial glow treetops courses.
Every ticket to this event will raise 4 meals for Manna foodbank, it is not only a wonderful holiday experience, it also supports our entire community. This event demonstrates the magic of reading and inspires children to pick up a book. Any child that participates in our reading program and reads 10 books will receive entry to the Winter Wonder Walk. Glow Trail admission is only available with a combo pass. Playhouse! Coming off a wildly successful 2023 season, Flat Rock Playhouse, The State
Theatre of North Carolina is thrilled to unveil its highly anticipated lineup for the 2024 season.

Mixtape! The Best of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s – February 22 – 25
It’s February, which means ‘the boys are back!’ From the same outstanding musical talent who
brought you the Music of Queen, the Eagles, and the Beatles, welcome to Mixtape! The Best of
the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Come shake off the winter blues with this red-hot rockin’ playlist
featuring tunes you know and love. It’ll be ‘a gas,’ ‘far out,’ and ‘totally tubular!’
The Music of John Denver – March 8 – 9
Celebrate the Timeless Music of John Denver with this Spectacular Tribute Concert, featuring
national tribute artist, Ted Vigil. An unforgettable evening of music and nostalgia honoring the
legendary singer-songwriter, and you won’t believe the uncanny resemblance to the legend!
From classics like “Take Me Home Country Roads,” “Annie’s Song,” and “Sunshine on My
Shoulders,” this concert will showcase the breadth and depth of John Denver’s musical legacy.
Uptown: The Music of Motown – March 21 – 24

The Shawshank Redemption – June 14 – 30

Cabaret – July 12 – August 3
Willkommen to the Kit Kat Klub! A Berlin Nightclub at the end of the 1920s. Hitler’s totalitarian
regime and the Nazi Party are on the rise. Be transported back in time and welcome for the first
time at Flat Rock Playhouse, Kander and Ebb’s Broadway sensation, Cabaret! Dark and

Jesus Christ Superstar, In Concert – September 5 – 22
Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar–in concert, is heading to
the Rock. Born of the evocative 1970 concept album, this groundbreaking production, with lyrics
by Sir Tim Rice, is a rock radio play that immerses audiences in a formidable and emotional

The Mountaintop by Katori Hall (The Black Box Series) – October 4 – 13

Mozart to Pop Chart: Volume 3 – The History of Rock and Roll – November 14 – 17
