Today’s woman is a go-getter, independent and above all, polished and confident! Your makeup should help reflect that!
Learn how to create a look that you can wear during the day and then easily transition into nighttime wear! Learn how to utilize certain products for more than just one purpose, how to create a flawless complexion using minimal tools and help deciding what products are best for you!
Don’t be intimidated by your makeup bag! Be excited about it! Join the talented Liz Black on Sunday, May 5th, and let’s margarita and makeup! She will be doing a live demo on a model as you sip and watch or follow along with her using your own makeup (list of her favorites suggested products arrive via email after sign up)!
Class includes a makeup bag, the ever essential beauty sponge (one of her secret weapons) and bottomless margaritas.
Note from Liz Black:
I am a self taught, freelance makeup artist in the Asheville area. I have always had a passion for makeup and all things glam! In addition to that, I am a hustler at heart, a people person and a busy body. Combine all those ingredients and you have an individual who decided three years ago to take a chance… and that is how I created my business Liz Black Makeup.
Since then, I have met so many incredible women and made so many friends, been a part of some seriously amazing events, helped bring life to brides’ perfect makeup vision and above all, I have found a sense of accomplishment and contentment that I’ve never felt before. To be proud of oneself is something that isn’t easy to obtain. When I see a woman’s face light up with genuine satisfaction because of something that I did, I feel pride and excitement! To know that I’ve helped an individual feel good about their self is so encouraging for me! My goal is always to make my client, my new friend, feel special and confident in their own skin!

Runners will then circle through the Walled Garden, pass by the Azalea Garden and lagoon along the French Broad River, and finish by returning to the Winery. The first half of the course has two challenging hills, while the second half is downhill-to-flat.

An exhibition of youth art titled “Let a Joy Keep You,” is on display from April 1 to May 31, 2019. The inspiration for the art comes from the first line of Carl Sandburg’s poem “Joy.” Each of the 70 canvases reflects how the young artists chose to interpret what joy means to them. Visitors can see the installation at the Sandburg Home when they visit. Young artists are represented from across the country and locally, including students from Sugarloaf Elementary School in Hendersonville, NC.

Spring Travels Presentation and Tasting – China
Every spring, Dobra Tea travels to a different tea producing region in Asia to reconnect with the people growing the teas we offer.
This year we are travelling to the southeastern provinces of China: Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian Province. This region produces some of the most prized Green, White and Oolong Tea as well as being the heartland for tea culture dating back to the time of Lu Yu in the 8th century.
This special tea class will be a presentation of this year’s travels in China. We always return with a suitcase full of fresh tea so the tasting menu is sure to be amazing and unique. A slideshow of photos from our trip will accompany the tasting.

As Howard steps down from leading Jubilee, we are wondering who’s going to lead us into the future!?! These Focus Groups are your opportunity to share your input on this important decision!
The three potential ministers are leading 2 different Sunday celebrations for the community. After the second service of their second Sunday, we’ll meet for an hour to gather YOUR INPUT and PERSPECTIVE….we’ll discuss strengths, weaknesses, and style of leadership of each candidate, plus talk about how we see this person fitting into our community and leading us to the next phase.
Stefanie will moderate the discussion and take extensive notes to relay this information to the Board. It’s REALLY IMPORTANT that our voices are heard because we are the younger generation who will continue to keep Jubilee strong for many years to come!!
The Board genuinely wants our input and has specifically asked us to relay our thoughts and feelings back to them! Please join us to share your input!

The Music of Bob Marley for Kids at The Grey Eagle
The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a family concert series hosted at historic music venues across the country, allows kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. See you at the show.
The Rock and Roll Playhouse knows that little ears are sensitive, so we turn down the volume at our shows. However, all kids experience music differently and you may find that your child is more comfortable wearing hearing protection earmuffs, such as Baby Banz, which are available for purchase here.
By attending this event, I consent to my image (with or without my voice) being included in photographs and/or film and videotape of the event, and give The Grey Eagle, The Rock and Roll Playhouse and their respective licensees and assigns the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use and publish such content in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter.
