If your mind has a tendency to take you to anxiety, you may want to consider attending our upcoming special event.
When it comes to living with anxiety, the Buddhist goal isn’t management of symptoms, it’s the complete eradication of symptoms. How incredibly empowering to know that even if our current reality is marked by stress, worry, irritability and despair, that doesn’t need to be our future, too. Many people suffer from feelings of fear and constant anxiety or are simply overwhelmed by the stress and demands of everyday life.
In this talk Kadam Morten will explore meditations and ways of thinking that will help us to become fearless in the face of adversity and deal with our negative emotions more confidently and effectively

MAGIC: Prepare a five minute story about enchantment. An “abracadabra” in your life that rebuffs logical explanation. The improbable, the impossible, the unbelievable come true—for better or worse. Great beauty, wild coincidence or a woman sawed in half before your very eyes! Pick a card. Any card.

It is brilliant and quietly addictive” – The London Guardian
“New York’s hottest and hippest literary ticket” – The Wall Street Journal
The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. It is a celebration of both the raconteur, who breathes fire into true tales of ordinary life, and the storytelling novice, who has lived through something extraordinary and yearns to share it. At the center of each performance is, of course, the story – and The Moth’s directors work with each storyteller to find, shape and present it.
Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide.
Moth shows are renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, the shows dance between documentary and theater, creating a unique, intimate, and often enlightening experience for the audience.
Moth stories dissolve socio-economic barriers, expose vulnerabilities, and quietly suggest ways to overcome challenges and see with new eyes.

Ghost-Note:
Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi Grammy–winning percussion duo of Robert Sput Searight and Nate Werth, Ghost-Note is an explosion of sound. With an expansive roster of next-level musicians—representing members of Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Toto, Justin Timberlake, and more—the band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the uplifting, pioneering foundations laid out by the likes of James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone and infusing their fresh take with tastes of afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia, world folklore, and more.
After forming in 2015, Ghost-Note has already begun to take the world by storm. The group’s two studio albums—2018’s Swagism and 2015’s Fortified—have earned critical acclaim and popular success around the globe, with both albums hitting the #1 spot on the iTunes Jazz Charts. Furthermore, the ever-growing family of musicians has mounted successful headlining tours in the United States, Canada, and Japan and performed at high-profile international music festivals and events.

There is no denying that when rappers from the Seattle rap scene break through, they dominate. Sir Mix-A-Lot became one of hip-hop’s best-selling acts of the 1980s and ’90s. The Emerald City got its next major triumph more than twenty years later, with the multi-platinum, hit-making duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Now it’s 16-year-old Lil Mosey’s turn.
Born and raised in the Seattle suburb of Mount Lake Terrace, Lil Mosey was a mere 9-years-old when he was introduced to hip-hop. His oldest brother, Quinnell, played him music from Joey Bada$$, Iamsu!, Souljah Boy, and Mosey became an avid, rap fan, gravitating to the likes of 50 Cent, Nas and Meek Mill.
By the time the baby-faced wordsmith got to the 8th grade, he was actively scouring YouTube to find instrumentals to write to and rap over. It was a way to perfect his budding flow. Lil Mosey recorded his first song, “Duplicate,” over Desiigner’s “Panda” beat in his bedroom and dropped it on SoundCloud. It got a couple thousand listens, an encouraging sign for an unknown artist. Over the next year, Mosey continued developing his craft and releasing material.
Then he discovered the beat that changed his life. While browsing the internet, Lil Mosey found a track from Black Mayo and passed it on to his producer, Royce David. “Once I got to the studio and started freestyling, I had the song done in 15 minutes,” Lil Mosey recalls of making the smash single “Pull Up,” which showcases his effortless lyrical style. “I knew it was fire, so I raised the capital to get a video done.”
The move proved prescient. Released in December 2017, the accompanying psychedelic clip gave fans the first real glimpse of Lil Mosey and instantly became an internet sensation, racking up 50,000 views in its first week. In a month, it was up to 300,000. Today, the “Pull Up” video has more than 18+ million views.
Buoyed by the success of “Pull Up” and subsequent single “Boof Pack” (more than nine million YouTube views), Lil Mosey moved to Los Angeles in January 2018. In July, he unleashed the video for the single “Noticed,” a remake of one of his early songs. The Cole Bennett-directed clip reached 39+ million views on Lyrical Lemonade. Lil Mosey shows no signs of slowing down with release of his latest project Northsbest.
As he prepares for the next steps in his career, Lil Mosey knows that he has millions of underage fans paying attention to his lyrics. “I’m 16 so I’m talking about the things I’m seeing and experiencing now,” he explains. “I didn’t set out to be a role model, but I know there are a lot of young people who look up to me and I accept that as a responsibility.”

Charles Walker Band
Deliciously Stanky. Dynamically Funky. Recklessly Hopeful. Grounded in soul, the Charles Walker Band has been compared to Prince, Bruno Mars, Chaka Khan, and James Brown. The Milwaukee based band has refined their sound into Neo-Funk, a fusion of funk infused rhythms with pop melodies. The three-piece band rehearses tirelessly in Charles’ basement, amidst couches and low ceilings, Charles stooping the entire time. At show time, surprisingly, there are no fans. There is only family. The question posed at the beginning of the show is, Are we family or not? The Charles Walker Band is Deliciously Stanky. Dynamically Funky. Recklessly Hopeful.
