In this beautiful play, Libby, a socially awkward woman with a tragic past, reluctantly throws a dinner party for a group of neighbors and acquaintances. As the drinks flow, discussions and debates ensue about everything from skydiving to family therapy to the merits of Topo Gigio. Connections are made and broken and made again as Libby and her guests explore what being alone, and being not alone, really means.
Directed by Jeff Catanese
Starring Edwin Glass, Scott Keel, Amanda Klinikowski, Christy Montesdeoca, Trinity Smith-Keel, Josephine Thomas and Henry Williamson III

A revival of 2016’s premiere of this holiday family crowd-pleaser! It’s Christmas Eve in 1955 at a small town train depot where the snowy weather has caused some delays. Over the course of the evening, strangers become friends, friends become family, and the warmth of human connection is deepened through stories and songs. Though the weather outside is frightful, inside the depot it’s delightful as memories of Christmases past are shared. Written by local storyteller and musician Tom Godleski and performed with original music and traditional songs by local bluegrass musicians. Directed by Lori Beland Hilliard.

Come journey with us during this sacred time of year! We will be offering devotional music and a guided healing meditation along with ceremonial cacao (hand made formula using Keith’s Cacao from Guatemala). There will be opportunities for heart sharing and connection within sacred space. You will learn about the practice of ceremonial living and cacao as sacred medicine along with other tools to access the inner realms and create healing in your life!
Reviews for Sacred Cacao:
“The event I went to was amazing. This is something that I will always remember. I plan to go to another event. I was blown away by such beautiful voices and music. You will be surprised in the best way possible. I had a great feeling of release and healing. I had no idea that Cacao was sacred, which now gives me all the more reason to love chocolate! Come with an open heart and open mind to this ceremony. You are in for a treat!” Bethany Otten
“Wow, where do I even start? Binah’s Cacao Ceremony was definitely the highlight of my trip. Before booking, I really had no idea what to expect but I knew I wanted to attend. And thank goodness I did! Binah’s studio is in a great location right on Wall St. Her energy is warm and welcoming. And her Cacao blends are so delicious. I couldn’t leave without purchasing a bag to bring back home with me! The ceremony itself was beautiful. It was sacred and connected and I left feeling calm, peaceful and empowered. Asheville is such a beautiful city because of people like Binah. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with her and the others in attendance! If you have the chance to partake in a Cacao Ceremony with Binah, do it!”
Emily Foran
Please Note:
This is a facilitated group healing.. Please refrain from any other substances of plant medicines prior to the ceremony.
For an enhanced experience fasting the day of is recommended, though not required, a light meal before hand is also a good idea, especially if you are sensitive to stimulants.

This symphonic winds concert will include family- friendly pieces that are staples of the holidays, such as Sleigh Ride and A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson, Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Up On A Housetop, and Chanukah Celebration. We will have a sing-along segment. And to top it off, we will have a handbell choir playing with the band! You read that right – Jubilee Handbells from First Methodist Church of Hendersonville will play during our concert as well! You won’t want to miss this! Such great “sound candy” for your ears! Our concert will be performed on the campus of UNCA at Lipinsky Hall on Sunday, December 16 at 3:30 PM.
Snowed out last Sunday, rescheduled for Dec. 16! Followed by Folkin-Fun Screen viewing of “Dance All Night – The Highwoods Stringband Story”. This iconic old-time band left it’s mark in our music culture, reviving old-time stringband music to much of the country in the late 60’s through the 70’s. They had many ties to the Asheville scene, not the least of which was their performing with the Green Grass Cloggers at many of the national festivals held around the US.
Movie screening via blue-ray provided courtesy of the film maker – Larry Edelman. Come join us for free, but we’ll also take up donations to send back to the producers of this excellent piece of history. They spent countless hours and cold, hard cash to make it available, so help if you can.
An old-time jam will break out afterwards!
