Another Cuba Trip!
We’re excited to announce we have scheduled a second trip to Cuba for June 22nd – July 1, 2021In the case of trip cancellation, a full refund or roll over of funds paid to future trips will be offered to all registered participants. Flexible payment plans are available.

Chimney Rock is an amazing spot to see spring migrants as they make their way back from the warmer, sunnier regions. Make sure you bring your binoculars to get a peek at numerous species traveling north. Just how many will you add to your list? A Park bird list can be found here. This hike is considered easy-to-moderate and does require advance registration.

Patryk Battle will be digging into the details on when and how to grow common & tropical root crops for a bountiful harvest.
Patryk Battle is a veteran gardener and farmer and currently the Director of Living Web Farms, an education and research nonprofit focused on food systems near Asheville, NC.
This is a free workshop presented on Zoom on Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. Please register at the library calendar here, and we’ll send you the Zoom link for the program. Register early as this program is limited to 100 participants.
This presentation is part of our Sowing Circle monthly series of gardening programs from the Black Mountain Blooms Seed Lending Library. The seed library is one of the many projects sponsored by the Friends of the Black Mountain Library.

Spend an hour hiking one of our six different trails with a naturalist. This is educational excursion will give you a better understanding of the flora and fauna that can be found in the Park. You may even learn some of the Park’s history as well.

This series of six live sessions will offer an opportunity for farmers to boost understanding of best practices for vegetable production according to CNG standards, and connect to a North American network of ecological farmers.
