Tuesday Night Funk Jam – 11PM – Ca$h Donation$ – 21+
EVERY Tuesday at Asheville Music Hall!
Tuesday Night Funk Jam has been a huge part of Asheville’s vibrant music scene since 2008 and is #Asheville’s hottest weekly concert.
Tuesday Night Funk Jam is programmed and orchestrated by an evolved Legendary House Band with trombonist Derrick Lee Johnson at the helm.
At 11PM sharp, the Legendary House Band kicks off the night followed by opening up the stage to jam to our local community of musicians for an ‘Open Jam’.
While this is an amazing opportunity for musicians to network and refine their musical chops it is ALSO an event for the people who support our music scene and need a night to shake their hips to the best funk around town!
Regularly, nationally touring musicians, TONIGHT funk jam is going to be off the chain. We have Lee Allen (of Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band) jumping back in with The Legendary House Band. Come out to the Asheville Music Hall tonight and help us kick off the first funk jam of 2019. We start at 11pm. #asheville #noplacelikehome #makemusiceveryday #mftnfj

Experience America’s Largest Home® in an Entirely New Way
February 8–May 27, 2019
For the first time, reproductions of clothing from the Vanderbilts’ own wardrobes are displayed in the settings in which they were originally worn: the elegant rooms of Biltmore House.
Guided by Biltmore curators, Oscar®-winning costumier John Bright and Cosprop, London meticulously recreated fashions favored by the Vanderbilts and their guests at turn-of-the-century celebrations known as house parties.
A new custom Exhibition Audio Guided Tour created for this exhibition combines realistic 360° sound techniques with stories told from the perspectives of those who lived and worked at Biltmore in the early 1900s; this special component is what makes this exhibition a unique, immersive audio-visual Biltmore experience. As you hear the stories and witness scenes previously seen only in century-old black-and-white photographs brought to vivid, colorful life, you will feel as though you were attending A Vanderbilt House Party.

Leigh Hunt, the English essayist of the 19th century, wrote that May Day is “the union of the two best things in the world, the love of nature, and the love of each other.” Our co-operative is celebrating this traditional Spring festival and anti-capitalist holiday with an herb giveaway!
Drop by our space on Wednesday between noon and 5pm to help yourself to a selection of organic, medicinal-quality herbs; including alfalfa leaf, catnip, echinacea, hibiscus, lemonbalm, nettle, olive leaf, passionflower, red clover, red raspberry, rose petal, and spearmint. These have been packaged and labeled in ziplock bags, each holding enough herb for around twenty cups of tea or a larger project such as a tincture.
Our co-op will be closing at 5pm to participate in the West Asheville May Day Celebration happening on Haywood Road. (More info posted below.)
* Limit three bags per visitor, while supplies last.

Hello! It’s a beautiful day to help The Blood Connection save lives!
We’ve made it a little easier for you to find upcoming blood drives in the Upstate. We’d love if you could help us spread our life-saving message by publishing local drives happening in your area. Keep in mind, we provide blood for almost every WNC hospital, so community blood donors play a huge part in saving local lives. To find our drives, simply click on this link:https://thebloodconnection.
For an interactive map of our drives: https://donate.
Please reach out if you have any questions or if you would like pictures or more information. We have a great need for O-Negative donors right now. I’d be happy to provide an interview as well.

Both regular attendees and newcomers are welcome, and the venue is kid-friendly.
As always, this event is all about helping those with an interest in real estate and investment build relationships within the industry and make meaningful connections. We encourage all attendees to bring at least one friend and one question to the event .
The event will run from 5:30 to 6:30pm, but the earlier you get there the better – we’ll cover the first beer for our first ten arrivals! Our goal is for everyone to walk away with a new connection/relationship that is going to help you take the next step forward in your real estate journey.
Shoot us a message and let us know what that step might be so we can do our best to make that introduction on Wednesday. Or maybe it is a question that you have, let us know so we can try to either answer it ourselves or introduce you to the person who has the answer.

HempYEAH! is a monthly WNC hemp advocate meet up at The Block Off Biltmore in downtown Asheville. This is the perfect, informative get-together for businesses, politicians, entrepreneurs, community members, etc. that are passionate about this amazing and versatile plant.
Each meetup will include freebies from the top dispensaries in the area, panels with esteemed members of the hemp community, spotlights on individuals and businesses that are helping their clients and/or patients with hemp, and updates about what direction hemp can head in NC as well as across the board! We will also touch on ways that we can educate ourselves, law enforcement, and employers about the legality it currently has and what that means for the future.
This year’s fourth HempYEAH! is on Wednesday, April 3rd from 6-8pm, and will be celebrating Earth Day by spotlighting some of the many sustainable uses of hemp.
Tim of Legalize Pot Belly Pigs Co LLC will be out there to speak about his dedicated work with hemp textiles, Jason of Plant restaurant will be there to demonstrate his methods for infusing hemp into his recipes, and we will also have Blake Butler, the Executive Director of the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association, there to give a legislative update. In addition, I will be offering my hemp & plant medicine infused, allergy friendly goodies from The Chill Peel and there will be a raffle along with a brief Q&A at the end! So come on out for music, community connection, & hemp refreshments.
Hemp, Hemp, Hooray!
