It’s a cross between a criterium, BMX, cyclo-cross and single-track, super fast and spectator-friendly. Charlotte Sports Cycling and the Tarheel Trailblazers have worked hard to create a trail that’s exciting for the race participants and spectators. Participants, based on category, will race 15 to 25 laps on the fast course. All of the events will be held at Renaissance Park. We plan to have food, an event photographer, and music at all of the events.

STOUT HOG DAY X & Brewer’s Breakfast
Feb 3 @ 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Pisgah Brewing Company

It’s that time of year once again! Cold weather is in the air, frost engulf’s the dawn’s landscapes, fires are burning in the homes of many, and beers get… DARK! Which means that the inevitable reality of winter will soon lead to the momentous occasion at Pisgah Brewing known as… STOUT HOG DAY!!

The 10th Annual Stout Hog Day will kick off at 11am on Sunday, February 3rd, and will feature a taproom full of stouts and darks with some of Pisgah’s finest darker brews as well as a special collection of local and sought after stouts.

A new tradition was born in 2014 as the staff of Pisgah Brewing decided to add a fulfilling twist to the day by starting off with the Brewer’s Breakfast, a full early afternoon of free pancakes for all (while supplies last) prepared by the brewers and staff themselves for their loyal fans. Mountain View BBQ & Deli Food Truck will be on hand serving up breakfast sides and specialties to go along with the pancakes, so come hungry!

And what’s Stout Hog Day without the official Stout Hog Day house-band, Chalwa! Reggae vibes from the local roots-rockers will begin around 2pm on the indoor stage.
