NCAA Tournament practices are open to the media and general public. No ticket is required for entry and seating is first come first served.
The first 30 minutes of each team’s practice is mandatory & the remaining time is optional for each team.
Mondays, Thursdays 5:15-6:00pm and/or Saturdays 12:15-1:00pm
Registration is now open for the next session of indoor youth tennis classes starting February 28th at Hendersonville Racquet Club. Kids are put in groups based on age and ability with seven levels available. The session is six weeks long and is $79 for members or $99 for non-members for one class a week plus a play day at the end of the session. Two days a week (12 sessions) is $129/169.
Our youth tennis program has something for any child who wants to play. From beginner to high performance player, we put them into situations where they will be challenged and can succeed while having a fun time doing it!
The format for this session is having classes once or twice for six weeks. Each level of class is offered once during the weekday and once on Saturday. Then the session concludes with a fun “Play Day” where they can get match experience. All classes are taught by certified tennis professionals and will be held on HRC’s indoor courts.

Run in America’s Largest Backyard! We are celebrating 10 years of running the Asheville Marathon and Half. This race is one-of-a-kind, and run entirely on Biltmore Estate’s property. Both the Half and the Marathon include views of Biltmore House, beautiful mountain landscapes, historic gardens, and more! Save the date for March 19 & 20, 2022 for a race of a lifetime.
We will have 2 race days, Saturday, March 19 – Half Marathon only, and Sunday, March 20 – Marathon and Half Marathon. Currently, each day only has 800 entries available.

Spring Out (formerly The Bike of the Irish)
Arrive early to learn more about AoB’s ongoing projects like College & Patton Bike+ Lanes and the AVL Unpaved initiative as both projects will be featured on the ride.
The Spring Out includes four route options all of which can be previewed using AoB’s Ride With GPS (RWGPS) Spring Out event page.
Participants can download their route of choice to their phone and / or bicycle computers for turn by turn directions. This event is free but donations are encouraged!

- The deadline to be registered for at least 3 of the races is July 10th at midnight so we have time to order the medals.
- Medals will be given out at the 2022 Black Bear Half Marathon event. If you can’t make it to that event, medals will be available for local pickup at Fleet Feet Asheville or shipped to you for $10.
- There are 200 spots available for the 2022 trilogy.
Here are the 4 eligible events to choose from. As long as you are registered for at least 3 of them by July 10th at midnight, you’ll get your extra medal!

Hendersonville Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce a month-long fundraising campaign, “Spring into Action” for Dodd Meadows Playground project. Proceeds raised for this project will go to improve and expand the play area for our growing Dodd Meadows Community.
A key mission of Habitat’s work is to support the local community by building safe, affordable homes for underserved communities. This includes serving the next generation of children to ensure happy, active and healthy lives, and is why the Dodd Meadows Neighborhood Playground Project needs your help! Playgrounds are an incredible place for children to run, play, and exercise, formulating the basis for future health and wellness. Our goal is to raise an incredible $100,500 which will go to the following:
- New Athletic Field— $6,500
- Improved Safety Ground Cover— $55,000
- New Picnic Area with Tables and Shade Trees — $4,000
- Safety Handrails for Steps to Playground — $3,000
- Playground Equipment — $15,000
- Safety Fence for Play Area — $17,000
