Join us around the track for the final game of our 2023-24 Travel Team Season! First, Blue Ridge skaters will take on ‘The World’ in a fun mixup, then the RETROGRADES will take on the RICHLAND COUNTY REGULATORS in a sanctioned game that affects NATIONAL RANKINGS.
Doors open at 2:00 PM for an afternoon full of LIVE ROLLER DERBY at SMEC!

Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the inclusive and fun space that Blue Ridge Roller Derby continually creates while playing a competitive sport on eight wheels. This family-friendly fundraising event will feature fun for all ages, including a 5K race, a chance to try our Rapid Reset tools, raffles, prizes for our top fundraisers, and so much more. Since our founding in 2017, we have offered hundreds of workshops and shared our resiliency-building tools with countless teachers, caregivers, social workers, healthcare providers, first responders, and others working on the frontlines to serve our communities. We believe that each of these connections makes a difference as we work to prevent future adversity and build resilience in people of all ages – and we know that we could not do it without the help of friends and community partners like you.
Your participation in our first annual RFR Run for Resilience 5K will support our ongoing efforts to build resilience in homes and workplaces around the globe. With your help, we can continue working to create healthier and more resilient communities for everyone!
Please note that this is an untimed, unsanctioned fundraising 5K. All race registrations and raffle ticket purchases are non-refundable. Adult Sports Day: For adults craving some outdoor fun, mark your calendars for the Adult Sports Day that will be taking place at Buncombe County Sports Park on June 27 from 4-9 p.m. This event will be filled with beginner-friendly outdoor recreational activities such as outdoor sport workshops for adults. Summer has officially started and what’s a better way to kick the season off than with a run (or walk!) through a beautiful Hendersonville neighborhood, with a delicious cold beer at the end! The Summer Session 5k starts and finishes at Hendersonville’s newest brewery, Trailside Brewing at Lennox Station. The 5k starts at 8AM.
Runners will receive a commemorative race t shirt and medal included in their registration. Enjoy a beer on us! A Trailside beer is included in registration for those 21+. Must be able to provide a valid ID.
