Join us as we continue our series on Leicester History. Annette Coleman, Leicester native and caretaker of Alexander Chapel Baptist Church, will share the history of this church and its legacy in the area. The Alexander Chapel cemetery is the permanent resting place for Black residents of Leicester, Alexander, and the surrounding areas. Family members still remember services and celebrate gatherings held on the property. This event is free, no registration is required. Light snacks will be provided. |
